Aquarium Copper Safe by Mardel is a copper-based medication that treats Ich, Velvet, and other parasites. The medication contains 2% chelated copper, which makes it safer and stable in water for up to a month. Copper Safe claims to be gentle on fish and not dye your tank ornaments. The product comes in a bottle without packaging or box. The medication is not reef safe and may kill anemones and soft corals. It also cannot be used with snails, shrimp, or plants. Copper safe is safe for aquatic vertebrates, including scaleless fish like loaches. One customer review praised the Copper Safe for being effective in treating Ich and other parasites. The user did not change the water after using Kordon Rapid Cure and found Copper Safe better at treating the full Ich cycle.
