What is the capacity of the Key Lock Box?

The Key Lock Box can hold up to 5 keys, making it suitable for households with multiple keys such as house keys, garage keys, or spare keys for family members. This capacity ensures you can securely store all necessary keys in one convenient location, reducing the risk of losing them. For instance, if you have a rental property or frequently host guests, a lock box with this capacity allows you to provide access without compromising security.

Is the Key Lock Box weatherproof?

Yes, the Key Lock Box is designed to be weatherproof, allowing it to withstand various environmental conditions. This feature is particularly important if you plan to mount it outdoors, as it protects the lock from rain, snow, and extreme temperatures, ensuring reliable performance all year round. For example, you can securely mount it near your front door or in your garden without worrying about damage from the elements.

How do I reset the code on the Key Lock Box?

Resetting the code on the Key Lock Box is a straightforward process that typically involves following the manufacturer's instructions to change the combination. Usually, it requires opening the box, locating the reset mechanism, and entering your desired new code. This feature is especially useful in maintaining security, as you can change the code regularly to ensure that only authorized individuals have access. For example, after lending your house key to a friend, you can easily reset the code for your peace of mind.

Where can I mount the Key Lock Box?

The Key Lock Box can be mounted on any sturdy surface, such as walls, fences, or even inside a garage. When selecting a location, consider areas that provide easy access for authorized users while remaining discreet from passersby. This versatility in mounting options allows you to place it conveniently at your front entrance or in a hidden area for added security. For instance, you might choose to mount it by the back door for service personnel to access without entering your home.

What material is the Key Lock Box made from?

The Key Lock Box typically features a durable metal construction that provides strength and resistance to tampering. This metal exterior ensures longevity and security, making it difficult for unauthorized individuals to break in. Additionally, the weatherproof coating adds to its durability. For example, it’s ideal for outdoor settings where the box may be exposed to the elements, thus preserving the integrity of the lock and keys inside.

Can I use the Key Lock Box for outdoor purposes?

Absolutely! The Key Lock Box is specifically designed for both indoor and outdoor use, thanks to its weatherproof feature. This makes it an excellent option for storing spare keys outside your home or rental property where they can be accessed easily by trusted individuals. For example, if you have a pool service or a maintenance crew, you can securely provide them with access without having to be present each time.

What is the mechanism of the lock on the Key Lock Box?

The Key Lock Box employs a combination lock mechanism, which requires a resettable code for access. This mechanism allows you to set your unique code, enhancing security compared to traditional key locks. Additionally, with a combination lock, you don't need to worry about losing physical keys. For example, families can set a commonly known code that allows access to all family members without the hassle of managing multiple keys.

Is the Key Lock Box portable?

Yes, the Key Lock Box is designed to be portable, which means you can easily relocate it if needed. This is particularly useful for individuals who may want to change its location periodically or take it along while traveling. Its lightweight but durable design ensures you can securely store your keys wherever necessary. For example, if you're moving to a new home, you can simply uninstall and reinstall the lock box with minimal effort.

Can the Key Lock Box hold remote key fobs?

While the primary design of the Key Lock Box is to hold standard-sized keys, it can accommodate some smaller remote key fobs depending on their size. However, the main focus is on holding traditional keys securely. For optimum use, consider using it for house keys and providing a separate container for larger or bulkier remote key fobs.
