It has a flip-top lid that is easy to clean and eliminates the need for screw-top lids that are difficult for some users. The carafe is a good size for a side table or small dinner table and holds 34 ounces of liquid. It keeps beverages hot for 2-3 hours and is easy to clean. However, some users may not like that the inside of the carafe is made of plastic and may be concerned about drinking hot beverages from plastic. The gold color may not be the prettiest, and there may be some quality control issues with scratches on the item. Additionally, the lid does not secure to the carafe, and spills may occur. The carafe does not keep liquids warm for very long, and some users have experienced cracking. It is a value buy and is great for keeping coffee warm while eliminating the need for the warmer on the coffee maker.
