Answer: Blower is compatible and will operate at speed selected. Just a two-wire plug for electrical connection, speed is governed by switch selecting which size resistor to place into the electrical circuit. If your current blower is only spinning on high speed, your problem is typically the resistor bank (another part easily purchased and replaced for $30 or so).
