Sony ECMZ37C Microphone for Hi8 & Digital 8 Camcorders
Sony ECMZ37C Microphone for Hi8 & Digital 8 Camcorders offers a lightweight design and features a unidirectional polar pattern, which is suitable for video and voice recording. However, despite its promises, many users have expressed disappointment regarding its performance compared to built-in microphones, with one review stating there is no discernible difference whether the battery assist system is used or not. This has led to confusion, especially since it is advertised as a stereo microphone, while users clarify it only records in mono. Even though some users mention it is good for micro-budget movies, others find it underwhelming given its price and functionality.
