Anime Editorial Review
**Editorial Review of Bleach, Set 4, Part 1 (Uncut)** Bleach, Set 4, Part 1 (Uncut) has garnered a generally positive reception among fans of the long-running anime series. For those transitioning from DVDs to Blu-rays, this release serves as an appealing alternative, primarily due to the quality of its remastering. Reviewers have praised the handling of the upscale process, noting that it is "well done" and results in a "clean remaster" that effectively reduces interlacing—enhancing the overall viewing experience. Despite the source material being somewhat dated—the show did not transition into HD until episode 168—fans highlight the improvements in both video and audio clarity. The animation is perceived as crisp, creating a refreshed take on a series that holds nostalgic value for many viewers. As noted, the remaster maintains the original 4:3 aspect ratio, which some fans argue honors the series' historical context, and any notions of the necessity for wide-screen HD are seen as misplaced by others. Given that all previously released DVD content has been included in this Blu-ray set along with additional episodes, this makes it a worthwhile investment for Bleach enthusiasts, especially those who haven't collected prior releases. While the lack of a Blu-ray + DVD combo has drawn some criticism, the overall Consensus is that for around $35-$40, the value is hard to dismiss. Also, devoted fans express hope for more releases, including earlier films that have yet to be made available in America, urging potential buyers to support this Blu-ray to encourage further distributions. In conclusion, Bleach fans will find much to appreciate in Set 4, Part 1 (Uncut), making it a strong addition to any anime collection. **
